Books & Fiction Writing

I am an indie writer. I write young adult fiction, short stories, and nonfiction. “Indie” means I self-publish my own work. Want to know a secret? I also write feminist romance under a pen name, and I’m dabbling with a murder mystery!

My characters range from fierce, downtown attorneys to ferocious teenage queens. (Because really, is there a difference?) I like stories that give readers a meaningful escape. I prefer happy endings but that’s not how all my stories end. Keep reading to find out more …

Nonfiction

I released my first nonfiction book, I Hear Some People Just Have Sex (An Infertility Memoir with an Ambiguous Ending), in November 2020. Nonfiction is new for me, but after an eight-and-a-half-year battle with infertility, I had a few things to say. Learn more here.

Young Adult Fiction

My epic teen sci-fi/fantasy novel, Sisters of the Perilous Heart, Book One of the Mortal Heritance series, relaunched in May 2020. Sisters of the Perilous Heart is a sci-fi/fantasy story about two young women with brave hearts and extraordinary powers. It is followed by Kingdoms of the Frozen Dead, which will be released in January 2021. It is preceded by my novella series, The Immortal Mistakes. Learn more about the series at mortalheritance.com.
